CoinMeta data: Apollo shows that although large tech companies have benefited from investments in AI, most S&P 500 companies have not seen an increase in profit margins or revenue per employee. Torsten Slok, the chief economist of a global management firm, pointed out in a research report on October 24th that the revenue and profit margins of the seven major tech giants have increased, while the performance of the other 493 companies has remained largely unchanged. The survey indicates that 69% of S&P 500 companies are actively deploying AI, but only 29% have reported quantitative results, and only 2% have tracked performance indicators. This suggests that widespread adoption of AI does not necessarily translate into measurable financial returns.
