According to CoinMeta, the number of companies opposed to tokenizing stocks on the OKX and ICE platforms has increased to 22. According to an update from OKXICE TSV on October 23, the newly added dissenting companies include Wells Fargo, Cisco Systems, Marvell Technology, Arm Holdings, Moderna, and Intuit. The announcement did not explain the reasons for the companies' objections, nor did it clarify the impact of these objections on whether the stocks could be traded on the platform. OKXICE TSV is a joint venture held 50% by Intercontinental Exchange and OKX US Holdings, which plans to allow approved users to trade tokenized US stocks around the clock. Transactions will be conducted through the Uniswap V4 liquidity pool on the blockchain of XLayer under OKX, and will use stablecoins such as USDC for settlement. The announcement revealed that the platform will only suspend trading when the underlying stocks are suspended, without setting any other circuit breakers or formulating policies for handling issues related to blockchain transaction sequencing. Smart contracts can be upgraded without prior notice to users, and contracts that control trading qualifications have only undergone internal audits.
