According to CoinMeta, Stellar announced the establishment of a new cross-chain messaging connection with Ethereum, while Via Labs launched its interoperability infrastructure on the mainnet, allowing Soroban smart contracts to communicate with contracts on Ethereum. This integration supports two-way message passing between Stellar and Ethereum, and provides separate deployment on their respective test networks. The announcement was made on October 28th at the Meridian conference in Stellar. Developers can utilize this infrastructure to transfer supported tokens between networks, coordinate contract operations, and develop applications involving stablecoins or tokenized real-world assets.
