According to CoinMeta, at the Android Developer Summit on October 28th, Google launched the official Android CLI plugin, which supports Claude and Codex. These plugins not only allow for code writing but also enable application compilation, interface checking, simulated clicks, and test running. Developers can remotely control Android phones in the Google device laboratory to install applications and capture logs without the need to physically insert a phone or run a simulator. In addition, Google will also open up Android Studio to third-party Agent; developers will be able to access over 40 compatible programming Agent, including Claude and Codex, and use compilation and debugging tools. Google has also introduced Connected Apps Platform, allowing developers to connect through Android MCP or the cloud MCP for unified management and testing. Currently, there are more than 50 associated applications searched for under Gemini and Google, with partners including Adobe and Peloton.
