Amp equips AI Agent with cloud-based Mac: 30-second startup, compile and test iOS applications yourself.
2026-10-29 19:59:15
According to CoinMeta, Amp has launched macOS satellites, allowing AI Agent to automatically compile, run, and test iOS and macOS applications on the cloud Mac. The cloud Mac comes pre-installed with Xcode and a simulator, and it is claimed to start in about 30 seconds. When modifying code on Linux, Mac is called only when compilation and testing are required. Test videos, logs, and screenshots are transmitted back to Amp, and users can also directly take over the Mac desktop. The cloud Mac offers two configurations: 6 cores CPU with 14GB of memory for $2 per hour, and 12 cores with 28GB of memory for $4 per hour. After the task is completed, Mac will be retained for another 20 minutes to facilitate continued use of the compilation cache; during this period, it is still charged based on runtime, after which it is automatically destroyed. Currently, the feature is in the beta phase, and users need to join a waiting list to use it.
