According to CoinMeta, Du Jun, the founder of vernal and capital, tweeted that in earlier years, upon his advice, the family offices of BTC and ETH switched their holdings from BTC to BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF (IBIT) after experiencing thefts from centralized exchanges and security incidents in the cold wallet supply chain. Some also directly sold their crypto assets to buy traditional assets such as physical gold.
