According to CoinMeta, the Japanese government has requested American artificial intelligence developers Anthropic and OpenAI to provide more access in order to use advanced models capable of identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and will encourage operators of critical infrastructure to adopt these models. The Japanese government plans to include measures to strengthen cooperation with American developer AI in a package of cybersecurity measures that is expected to be announced as early as next week. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has asked cabinet members to promote related work, cooperate with overseas government agencies to identify cyber attackers, and resolve system vulnerabilities. Currently, Japan is working to contain a wave of data breaches. On October 13th, Japanese cybersecurity official Toshihiro Furukawa met with Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark, and both parties confirmed that Anthropic will collaborate with AI, a security research institution under the Japanese government, to analyze methods of launching attacks using AI.
