According to CoinMeta, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission announced its first survey on "Artificial Intelligence Applications and Preparedness in Large Institutions" on November 2nd. The survey results show that institutions have widely applied artificial intelligence in their business and monitoring functions, but it was noted that expanding the application scale in a responsible manner is facing challenges. The survey was conducted from July to August 2026 and covered 20 large financial institutions and their 78 affiliated licensed corporations in Hong Kong, representing 75% of securities market transactions in the first half of this year. The survey found that all of the surveyed institutions have already utilized artificial intelligence. AI95 % of them expect to accelerate the application in the coming year; 90% of the surveyed institutions reported having already used or evaluating methods to prevent cyberattack risks; and 55% of the institutions are currently using or testing proxy-based AI.
