Elliptic: No evidence indicates that North Korean hackers used AI to transfer funds stolen from Binance

According to CoinMeta, blockchain analysis firm Elliptic stated that there is currently no evidence indicating that North Korean hackers used AI to transfer $6.4 billion in stolen funds from Binance. The related operations are more consistent with traditional script patterns. Elliptic, co-founder and chief scientist of Tom Robinson, pointed out that the hackers' behavior of transferring funds through automated software services follows a preset script execution pattern, rather than autonomous decision-making by an AI entity. Currently, hackers still control approximately $3.28 billion in stolen funds, while another $2.85 billion in assets have been frozen or recovered. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed that this theft was organized by North Korean TraderTraitor hackers.
