According to CoinMeta, OKXICE revealed that an additional 12 companies have opposed its stock tokenization plan, including NVIDIA, Costco, Nike, Reddit, and CrowdStrike. The total number of companies that have officially raised objections has risen to 50, accounting for about 79% of the initial 63 companies intended to be included. The newly added opposition companies also include Palo Alto Networks, Micron Technology, Corning, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Iren, USA Rare Earth, and Bloom Energy. These 50 companies have a combined market value of approximately $25 trillion, with more than half of them listed on NASDAQ and 42% listed on the New York Stock Exchange. OKXICE is a joint venture between the cryptocurrency exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), planning to launch blockchain-based US stock tokens to support continuous trading for investors. The plan intends to use the actual stocks held by registered brokerage traders as collateral and to complete transactions through stablecoins and the OKX's X Layer on-chain licensed Uniswap V4 liquidity pool.
