PIMCO: The scale of artificial intelligence financing may move towards 'excess'
2026-11-03 11:22:47
According to CoinMeta, Emmanuel Roman, CEO of Pacific Investment Management Company ( PIMCO ), stated that in the next five years, the scale of financing related to artificial intelligence could reach approximately $10 trillion, and may ultimately exceed a reasonable level. He estimates that over the next five years, the AI industry may have an additional annual financing need of about $2 trillion to support capital expenditures. In comparison, the size of the U.S. bond market is around $12 trillion. Roman pointed out that the economy could experience a downturn, and at that time, there could be factors that trigger a collapse, such as rising U.S. interest rates, wars in the Middle East, or a crisis in the eurozone. Blackstone Group President Greg stated that some skepticism in the market might be beneficial, as the overall trend of development in artificial intelligence implies that investments will further increase, and the demand for capital will also grow significantly.
