According to CoinMeta, the Reserve Bank of Australia has raised its benchmark interest rate to 4.85% due to rising technical costs caused by AI investments and increases in energy prices. The bank increased interest rates by 25 basis points on Tuesday and warned that inflation will remain high until 2027. The RBA's Monetary Policy Committee voted 6 to 3 in favor of this rate hike, expecting inflation to return to the target range of 2% to 3% only by the end of 2027.
