According to CoinMeta, based on the financial report released by the Japanese company on November 2nd, from April to September 2026, the group's revenue from crypto assets amounted to 23.083 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 30.1%, and the pre-tax loss expanded to 1.595 billion yen, compared to just 147 million yen in the same period last year. In contrast, the SBI group's overall revenue increased by 17.2% to approximately 1.06 trillion yen, setting a new record for the first half of the fiscal year. The decline in the crypto business was mainly concentrated in July to September, with that quarter's revenue being about 9.2 billion yen, a nearly 60% reduction from the previous year. Despite the pressure on performance, SBI continues to expand its crypto business layout; its subsidiary Bitbank became a wholly-owned subsidiary on October 1st, and the group also launched the yen-stabilized coin JPYSC in June this year.
