According to CoinMeta, in an exclusive interview on November 3rd by Bloomberg, Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan is exploring entering the US market through HIP-3 ecosystem partners. He stated that Hyperliquid is not a traditional exchange, but rather a underlying technology platform that allows third parties to deploy exchanges. The path to enter the US market can involve HIP-3 partners undertaking compliance obligations such as customer identity verification (KYC) and market monitoring, rather than Hyperliquid directly operating trading services for US users. Hyperliquid began testing a new version of the HIP-3 framework that supports identity verification in September this year. Kraken's parent company previously announced plans to use this system to offer perpetual contract trading to US users, and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has also announced an investment in Trade XYZ and plans to introduce its perpetual contracts to the US after obtaining regulatory approval. Jeff Yan also expressed optimism about the tokenization of high-quality real-world assets such as large corporate stocks.
