2026-11-04 02:44:42
According to CoinMeta, Tesla, Amazon, and four other well-known companies have rejected the stock tokenization plans proposed by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, dealing a new blow to the vision of tokenizing stocks. Six companies have recently raised objections to stock tokenization, and so far, 56 companies have opposed the plan, with approximately 79% of the target companies refusing to participate. The companies that oppose it include Tesla, Amazon, Microsoft, Google's parent company Alphabet, and NVIDIA, among others. Although OKX and ICE announced plans to tokenize the stocks of 62 major companies at the beginning of October, only 13 companies have not yet publicly opposed it. The specific listing date for OKXICE has not been determined, nor has it been disclosed how many types of tokenized stocks will be offered.
