CZ: AI Technology Accelerates Cyberattacks, Calling on the Crypto Industry to Establish a Security Alliance
2026-11-04 07:13:41
According to CoinMeta, CZ, co-founder of Binance, stated in his first public interview after the hack on Binance on October 29th that AI technology is accelerating network attacks, and that companies need to increase their investment in AI security defenses, professional security personnel, and cooperation with security service providers. He called for the crypto industry to establish a security alliance to accelerate the freezing of stolen funds through sharing attack cases and best practices, cross-security audits, and inter-institutional collaboration. CZ pointed out that as stablecoins, tokenized stocks, and real-world assets (RWA) become more integrated with the traditional financial system, the impact of large-scale crypto security incidents has transcended the scope of individual companies and industries, involving the global financial system and national security. He mentioned that Binance took priority in measures to contain the attack and protect users during this incident, and had detected and prevented 57 cyber threats suspected to be related to North Korea prior to 2026. CZ also said that they have not yet communicated about this incident with U.S. President Trump or other U.S. officials, but are open to any assistance provided by the government.
