According to CoinMeta, the Bitcoin mining facility of Cango (NYSE: CANG), located in Soperton, Georgia, USA, suffered a fire on October 22nd. As a result, two workers were injured and airlifted to a burn specialist center in Augusta for treatment. The local fire department subsequently extinguished the flames, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. This facility was acquired by CanGu in August 2025 for $19.5 million in cash; it has a capacity of 50 megawatts. Of this, 30 megawatts are allocated for its own mining operations, while 20 megawatts are used for hosting services for external clients. Additionally, its subsidiary Ecohash has deployed infrastructure capable of supporting up to 3 MW to expand its AI commercial computing power business. Currently, there are no reports that quantify the extent of damage to the mining equipment, the duration of downtime, or the impact on AI's computing power operations.
