According to CoinMeta, in the final stages of the mid-term elections, the Democratic Party has swept six out of seven swing states that were considered highly competitive. These six states are Texas, Kansas, Ohio, Iowa, Maine, and Michigan. Texas has not elected a Democratic senator at the federal level since 1988, and Kansas has not elected a Democratic senator since 1932; the victories in these two states are expected to be major upsets in American political history. Ohio, where Vance previously served as a federal senator, also failed to reverse the Republican Party's loss. In addition, the Democratic Party reversed the Republican Party's advantage in North Carolina and South Carolina, gaining a total of seven seats. As a result, the Democratic Party is expected to win 54 Senate seats. Due to disputes over candidates with the same name, the winner in Alaska, the last swing state, has not yet been determined.
