According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Jerusalem Post, Israeli President Herzog received the official election results from the chairman of the Central Election Committee on Wednesday. Following this, he will begin consultations with representatives of various political parties. By law, the president must negotiate with all parties in parliament before deciding who will be tasked with forming a government. Herzog is expected to grant the authority to form a government to the candidate who receives the support of the most party representatives. The consultations will continue on Thursday and extend into the evening. The election results show that Netanyahu's camp still holds the lead, with 53 seats, while the opposition camp has 48 seats, and Arab political parties have 19 seats. The current political deadlock could potentially lead to another election, although it is still possible for the parties to reach an agreement through negotiations to form a governing coalition and avoid another election.
