According to CoinMeta, after the mid-term elections in the United States, the Democratic Party gained control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, reducing market policy uncertainty. On Wednesday, tech stocks generally rose: Amazon increased by about 8%, Google by over 6%, Microsoft by over 7%, Meta by about 3%, and Apple by nearly 7%. David Kelly, the global chief strategist at JPMorgan Chase Asset Management, believes that a scenario where the Republican Party controls the White House and the Democratic Party controls Congress could help ease economic growth and inflation pressures, as well as reduce market uncertainty. At the same time, AI data center construction faces the risk of tighter regulation, with 40 out of 41 related local referendums yielding results unfavorable to data center development. However, analysts argue that higher regulatory barriers may actually strengthen the competitive advantages of large cloud service providers. Large cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have substantial financial strength and mature data center construction and operation capabilities, while emerging AI cloud service providers face greater pressure. On Wednesday, the stock price of an emerging AI cloud service provider CoreWeave fell by about 10%. Macquarie analysts believe that companies with sufficient funds, secured power supply, and the capability to carry out project construction have a greater advantage, and the demand for AI infrastructure investment has not disappeared as a result.
