Institution: After the Democratic Party's victory, U.S. fiscal policy in 2027 may become tighter
2026-11-05 12:13:42
According to CoinMeta, George Borie, the Chief Investment Strategist for Fixed Income at allspring Global Investment Company, stated in a research report that after the Democrats win the election, U.S. fiscal policy may shift towards tightening in 2027. The likelihood of introducing new fiscal stimulus measures is almost non-existent, while capital expenditure depreciation policies, tariffs, and defense spending may face stricter scrutiny. Borie added that the possibility of raising taxes in the short term is not high, but the Democrats may begin to prepare for the 2028 general elections. He noted that the U.S. fiscal deficit may narrow next year, which would be beneficial for bond investors.
