According to CoinMeta, on November 6th, at the 2026 Mobile Network Conference, Chen Zhongyue, the chairman of China Mobile, stated that from human-to-human communication to human-computer interaction, from ground coverage to space, air, sea, and land, and from doing one's best to ensuring reliability, the communication network should not only be a “traffic conduit” but also become a “digital intelligence foundation.” China Mobile will make every effort to build a new generation of communication networks. This includes upgrading the basic network, improving the deep coverage in hotspots areas, establishing high-quality 5G dedicated networks for railways, accelerating innovation in super uplink technologies, industrial collaboration, and deployment in existing networks. The company will also deepen the integration of satellite and ground systems, strengthen the Tianqi constellation, enhance network capabilities in coastal areas, islands, and border regions to achieve seamless coverage and always-on connectivity. China Mobile plans to improve the layout of international network infrastructure, facilitate digital channels in key areas such as the Belt and Road Initiative, and enhance connectivity and network resilience. By strengthening cooperation and sharing, promoting efficient coordination across all frequency bands, improving the quality of the entire network spectrum, exploring cross-industry infrastructure collaboration, and expanding network service scenarios, China Mobile aims to consolidate its 5G advantages, advance 6G development, and expand the boundaries of networks that integrate space, intelligence, and sensing.
