According to CoinMeta, blockchain analysis firm Chainalysis disclosed in an updated security incident announcement that all users' names, usernames, password hashes, and valid authentication tokens were exposed to attackers, and some customers' plaintext passwords were also leaked due to another type of attack. The company suspended KYT transaction monitoring, address screening, and login services upon detecting abnormal activity, and required all users to reset their passwords, and where necessary, to replace their API keys. Previously, on October 30th, Chainalysis first revealed that it had been hacked using offensive AI bot technology; at that time, only some customers' identity information was confirmed to have been accessed, and no evidence of password or session token leaks was found.
