According to CoinMeta, from the "Forging Ahead into the 14th Five-Year Plan" series of press conferences held by the National Development and Reform Commission today, it is understood that currently, oil and gas consumption in China accounts for about one-third of total terminal energy consumption, mainly concentrated in sectors such as transportation and industry, with significant room for substitution still available. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, multiple measures will be taken to promote the substitution of electricity for oil and gas consumption. Ge Ju, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department of the National Energy Administration, stated that efforts to replace oil and gas with electricity will continue to be intensified. By 2030, the proportion of electricity in China's total terminal energy consumption is expected to increase to around 35%. In the field of transportation, the National Energy Administration will advance the construction of charging infrastructure with high quality, establishing a network of charging facilities that covers urban areas, along highways, and in rural areas. By 2030, there will be over 40 million charging facilities, capable of supporting more than 110 million electric vehicles.
