Li Feifei World Labs launches Frameboy: Explore the AI generated world in real-time, just like playing on a gaming console

According to CoinMeta, World Labs, founded by Li Feifei, has released Frameboy. Users can control the camera with their keyboards and move freely in the virtual world generated by AI just like playing a game. Wherever the camera turns, the cloud-based GPU generates new images in real-time, at a maximum frame rate of 15 frames per second. The Atlas released in September this year is already capable of filling in unseen spaces based on a single image and supports precise control of the camera's position and movement path, allowing for the creation of 1440p videos up to 1 minute in length. This latest release of Frameboy uses an optimized version of Atlas, transforming the process that previously required advance planning of camera angles and waiting for video generation into a real-time roaming experience where users can turn around at any time and explore freely. Currently, the public version of Frameboy only allows exploration of preset scenarios provided by the developers. If users want to create their own virtual worlds using their own images, they need to use Viewfinder, which is still in closed beta testing. The entire system relies on high-performance cloud-based GPU; however, even with a maximum frame rate of 15 fps, there is still some lag in actual usage, and the operating costs are higher than those of local rendering.
