According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, a Greek man appeared in court in London on Friday and pleaded not guilty to the charges that he was instructed by foreign intelligence agencies to monitor a journalist from a London-based television station Iran International. The 46-year-old Ioannis Aidinidis, who was born in Georgia, was residing in Munich, Germany at the time of his arrest. In May of this year, he was charged under the UK's National Security Act and is currently in custody awaiting trial, with the trial scheduled for next May. The police previously stated that they believed Aidinidis's actions were instigated by Iran. During his first court appearance, the prosecution indicated that Aidinidis had traveled to the UK twice in April and May to monitor a journalist from Iran International. This television station holds a critical stance towards the Iranian government. Tehran has repeatedly denied any involvement in attacks or related conspiracies carried out within British territory.
