China's independently developed new modular "mobile warm house" to be deployed in Antarctica

According to CoinMeta, the Antarctic emergency dormitory cabin jointly developed by the Eighth Engineering Bureau of China Construction and the National Key Laboratory of Green Building set off for Antarctica on the ship "Xuelong 2" on the 7th. In the future, when Chinese Antarctic expedition members conduct scientific research in the field, they will be able to use this new type of modular "mobile warm house." To withstand the extreme cold of Antarctica, the "mobile warm house" is constructed with square steel as its main framework and can adapt to temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. Combined with a high-insulation enclosure system and a heating floor, it can maintain an indoor temperature within a comfortable range of 18 to 24 degrees Celsius. The independently developed break-bridge adjustable ventilation valve technology can prevent wind and snow from entering the cabin and eliminate the intrusion of condensation water, while also minimizing heat conduction to meet the needs of polar buildings for continuous ventilation and insulation without power.
