Google launches a Pokémon collaboration version Fitbit Air, combining wearable devices with the sleep game Pok é mon Sleep. This product is released coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and Google also takes this opportunity to further expand the use of Fitbit in health tracking and light entertainment scenarios.
Synchronize sleep game data with health data
This special edition device can connect to both the Google Health app and Pok é mon Sleep. During the day, users can record their daily activities, heart rate, and aerobic load, while at night it tracks sleep duration and sleep quality.
Pok and mon Sleep were launched in 2023. The core gameplay concept is to convert sleep data into game progress. Players who fall asleep at set times can receive game rewards; the longer and better their sleep, the more "sleepiness energy" they accumulate in the game, which also attracts more Pokémon to appear.
Not the first device to support this application
Pok has previously supported a variety of wearable devices, including the Apple Watch, Fitbit series, Galaxy Watch, and Google Pixel Watch. Even without wearable devices, users can still use this application directly.
This means that the novelty of the collaborative version Fitbit Air does not lie in establishing a hardware connection for the first time, but rather in creating a more direct link between Pokémon IP and Google's wearable products, thereby enhancing the entertainment value of the products and the effectiveness of holiday marketing.

This limited-edition Fitbit Air is now available for pre-order, with a price of $129. Shipping will begin on September 15th, and it will be available through sales channels including Google Store online store and Target physical stores.
For comparison, the standard version Fitbit Air is priced at $99. When Google released this device in May of this year, it highlighted a thinner and lighter design, upgraded health and fitness tracking features, as well as a AI coaching feature that provides personalized recommendations based on user activity, sleep, and health data.
