From August 22 to 28, eight crypto and blockchain companies disclosed a total of $184.1 million in new financing. The funds disclosed mainly went towards market infrastructure, stablecoin banking, on-chain transactions, and tokenization-related businesses, among which the two transactions RQD, Clearing, and Fasset accounted for the majority.

RQD *Secures the largest financing deal of the week

New York-based RQD * Clearing has received a $74 million minority equity growth investment led by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities, with ABN AMRO Clearing Bank and Nyca Partners also participating in the round.

RQD primarily provides clearing, custody, and technical services to securities firms, registered investment advisors, and overseas financial institutions, assisting them in entering the US market. The company stated that this funding will be used for product development and to drive its expansion in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The company also plans to build infrastructure for digital assets and tokenized securities, with the goal of enabling financial institutions to manage blockchain-based assets and integrate them with existing clearing systems. This transaction accounts for about 40% of the total financing disclosed that week.

Fasset Valuation Rises to $1 Billion

Stablecoin banking platform Fasset completes $68 million Series C financing, led by Japanese SBI Group; post-financing valuation reaches $1 billion. Previously, Fasset had completed a $51 million Series B financing in May.

After two rounds of financing, Fasset has disclosed that it has raised a total of $119 million in 2026. The company provides stablecoin payments, tokenized assets, and digital banking services in 125 countries.

Fasset indicates that the new funds will be used to expand the payment network, develop financial tools based on AI, and advance their digital banking project, which is currently in preparation in Malaysia, together with SBI. Although the company announced this round of financing in Los Angeles, its expansion focus remains on emerging markets and cross-border payments.

Institutional funds continue to flow towards tokenization and on-chain transactions.

Hivemind Digital Group has completed a $17 million strategic financing round, led by M& G Investments. Institutions such as CPIC Investment Management Hong Kong, ZA Bank, FalconX, and Sonic Boom Ventures also participated in the funding. The company stated that the funds will be used for tokenization infrastructure, institutional partnerships, and investments related to digital assets.

The on-chain trading platform Entropy completed a $14 million equity financing round, led by Ribbit Capital. The company did not disclose its valuation, nor did it reveal other equity investors. Entropy also received $40 million in HYPE collateral support, but this amount is not included in the total financing for that week.

Entropy builds a market based on the Hyperliquid HIP-3 system, and its first product provides exposure to the valuation of the Anthropic private market through perpetual contracts. The team stated that they will subsequently expand to more markets such as private companies, stocks, commodities, etc., and develop pricing and liquidity tools for assets that lack continuous public quotes.

In the remaining disclosed projects, City Protocol received $4 million, Chomp raised $3.6 million, Oro received $3 million, and XStable received $500,000. Additionally, FinTax and TermMax disclosed that they received strategic investments, but the specific amounts were not made public, so they are not included in this week's total.
