Ripple has recently continued to expand the issuance scale of RLUSD. Market tracking data shows that in the past few days, this dollar-pegged stablecoin has been continuously issued on XRP Ledger and Ethereum, with the total supply now rising to approximately 2.35 billion US dollars, exceeding the 2 billion US dollar mark.
Continuous additional issuance in recent days
On August 29th, online tracking accounts recorded that Ripple Treasury issued an additional 15 million RLUSD. The day before that, 20 million more were issued on Ethereum. Subsequently, there were several other issuance transactions on both chains involving amounts close to 20 million each.
- 19.94 million RLUSD coins to be issued on Ethereum
- 19.99 million RLUSD coins to be issued on Ethereum
- XRP Ledger Issues an additional 19.9 million RLUSD
XRPL Circulation first breaks through $1 billion
Before this round of additional issuance, RLUSD just surpassed a new milestone on XRP Ledger. On August 28th, its circulation on XRPL exceeded 1 billion US dollars.
As of August 20, as displayed on the transparency page Ripple, the trading volume RLUSD reached 1.87 billion US dollars, corresponding to a reserve fund of 1.98 billion US dollars. The relevant supply and reserve data are audited monthly by independent certified public accountants.
Ethereum takes the lead again
According to the latest market tracking data, the total supply of RLUSD is currently around 2.35 billion US dollars. Of this, the supply on Ethereum is about 1.31 billion US dollars, and on XRPL it is about 1.04 billion US dollars.
- Ethereum accounts for approximately 56% of the total supply.
- XRPL accounts for approximately 44% of the total supply.
Earlier this summer, the supply of RLUSD on XRPL briefly surpassed that of Ethereum. However, by the end of August, Ethereum regained its number one position.
For XRP Ledger, the expansion of the stablecoin supply means an increase in available liquidity for scenarios such as on-chain payments, decentralized transactions, and lending. This continuous issuance also indicates that Ripple is continuing to drive the expansion of the circulation of RLUSD.
