XRP is currently hovering around $1.39. Data on the distribution of addresses on the chain shows that a few large wallets still hold a significant amount of XRP, and there is a clear gap between ordinary holders and the top addresses.
7,500 coins, approaching the top 5%
According to XRPscan data, to enter the 0.01% address range before holding XRP, one would need to hold approximately 3.65 million to 3.71 million XRP within that range. At the current price, the value of this portion of holdings is about 5.3 million US dollars.
The threshold for the top 0.1% of addresses is approximately 277,000 XRP, worth about $400,000. The top 0.5% requires around 80,000, and the top 1% requires about 44,000. Holding about 7,500 XRP would bring one close to the top 5% range; holding about 100 XRP would bring one close to the top 25%.
- Top 0.01%: Approximately 3.65 million to 3.71 million XRP
- Top 1%: Approximately 44,000 XRP
- Top 5%: Approximately 7,500 XRP
Ripple accounts for the majority in the exchange
In the address distribution, Ripple remains the largest holder of XRP. Data shows that the company controls 26 accounts, accounting for approximately 38.6% of the total circulating supply, with most of the assets being in a custodial state.
In large addresses, exchange wallets also account for a relatively high proportion. Upbit accounts for about 6.4%, Binance accounts for about 2.6%, Bithumb accounts for about 1.8%, Uphold accounts for about 1.63%. Ripple, the co-founder Chris Larsen, holds about 2.53%.
However, the XRP in these exchange addresses does not entirely represent the platform's own holdings; it also includes assets managed by users. Therefore, wallet rankings cannot be directly equated with the true wealth distribution of individual investors.
Book value at different price levels
If XRP rises to $3.50, the book value for different holding sizes will increase significantly. Calculated with 2000 XRP, the corresponding value is about $7000; 7500 would be about $26,250; and 44,000 would be about $154,000.
If the holding is 277,000 XRP, it corresponds to a value of about $969,500 at a price of $3.50. If holding 1 million XRP, the corresponding value is about $3.5 million.
If XRP rises to $5, the book value of 1 million XRP would reach $5 million, and 10 million would correspond to $50 million. The text also mentions that these figures are merely static calculations based on assumed prices and do not represent any judgment regarding future trends.
Position concentration still needs to be observed.
This set of data once again shows that the large holdings of XRP are still concentrated in the hands of a few addresses. However, since the top addresses include the托管 accounts of Ripple and exchange wallets, it is difficult to fully restore the actual holding structure of individual investors just by looking at the address distribution.
From a market observation perspective, address ranking is more suitable for measuring changes in holding thresholds and concentration, rather than directly assessing the true control of a single entity.
