SoSoValue data shows that ETF spot products recorded a net inflow of 26.2 million US dollars on August 28, attracting capital inflows for 9 consecutive trading days. Since mid-August, the cumulative net inflow for such products has risen to approximately 1.6 billion US dollars, with a total of over 725 million US dollars drawn in during the past 9 trading days.
In the past 9 days, it has raised over $700 million in total.
From a single-day perspective, the recent daily net inflow of XRP spot ETF has fluctuated between 2.4 million US dollars and over 28 million US dollars. According to SoSoValue statistics, the current total net asset value of this product is also around 1.6 billion US dollars.
Against the backdrop of continuous capital inflows, the spot price of XRP has been relatively weak recently. Data from CoinGecko shows that on Monday, the price was around $1.39, with a 2.7% decline over 24 hours and a roughly 7.6% drop in the past 7 days. However, in the past 14 days, there has still been an increase of about 38%.
Institutional holdings are concentrated in large financial institutions.
Bloomberg industry research analyst James Seyffart stated on social media that despite the weakening of coin prices, the capital flow of XRP ETF has remained resilient, a performance that is "surprising." According to his statistics, the cumulative net inflow has approached $1.8 billion.
He cited the second-quarter 13F report, stating that Goldman Sachs is currently the largest holder of XRP ETF futures, with a related exposure of about 87.4 million US dollars. Jane Street and Millennium Management follow closely behind. If classified by institution type, investment advisors are the main holders of such products and also the primary allocators for that quarter, with a scale significantly higher than that of hedge funds and securities firms.
Differentiated trend from Bitcoin ETF
The continuous profit-making of XRP ETF contrasts with the short-term performance of Bitcoin spot ETF. The report mentions that the trend of continuous 9-day net inflows for Bitcoin spot ETF has come to an end, while Ethereum-related products are still continuing to attract funds.
The United States' first batch of XRP spot ETF was launched in November 2025, later than the earlier-approved Bitcoin spot ETF. The current focus in the market is that funds from funds are still flowing in, but the spot price of XRP has not yet strengthened accordingly. Whether this divergence will continue in September remains a key point to observe in the coming period.
