Starting from September 25th, Binance Wallet will support payment of on-chain gas fees using USDT on four networks: BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON. Users can also pay network fees with the supported assets in their Binance Exchange accounts. It should be noted that network fees are still paid to blockchain validators rather than the company itself. Additionally, users can enjoy zero gas fees until December 22nd as part of a separate promotional campaign.

Starting from September 25th, Binance Wallet will add USDT and gas fee payment functions on four blockchain networks, allowing users to complete transactions without first holding the native gas tokens of each chain.

  • Binance Wallet now supports users in paying for blockchain gas fees on four networks using USDT.
  • BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON currently support this new USDT gas payment option.
  • Users can also use the eligible supported assets in their Binance Exchange account to pay for gas.
  • Binance indicates that network fees will still be paid to blockchain validators, rather than directly going to the company.
  • TRON Users can enjoy zero gas fees until December 22 under another promotional plan.

According to the updated support document Binance titled "Binance Wallet gas-fee guide", the options mentioned are previously applicable to BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON. Users holding USDT within Binance Wallet can choose to pay network fees with this stablecoin when completing supported transactions.

Previously, users typically needed to hold BNB on BNB Smart Chain, ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, and TRX on TRON in order to complete a transaction. Even if the wallet contained the assets to be transferred, it might still be impossible to carry out an on-chain transaction without the required native tokens.

Binance indicates that its wallet will calculate network fees based on the current blockchain conditions. The company stated that more networks will be supported in the future, but no timeline for their introduction has been provided yet.

Binance Wallet uses USDT to pay for the gas fees of four networks.

The USDT option has changed the way Binance Wallet users provide funds for transaction costs, but it does not cancel the underlying blockchain fees. Verifiers or other network participants will still receive the network charges required to process transactions.

Binance states in the support guide that 'no network fees will be owned by Binance.' The company distinguishes between blockchain gas and the service fees that Binance Wallet may charge in certain products, which include exchanges ( swaps).

Network fees are still dynamic. Binance indicates that on the Ethereum Virtual Machine network and Solana, congestion may drive up fees as users compete for transaction processing resources; whereas when activity decreases, the required fees may fall.

The operation of TRON is different; it adopts a resource model that utilizes bandwidth and energy. Users can obtain resources by staking TRX or by renting energy, among other mechanisms. According to the explanation of Binance, when the available resources are not sufficient to cover a transaction, it is possible that TRX will be destroyed to pay for the remaining costs.

For users of Binance Wallet, USDT is now another payment method that supports these on-chain costs. Binance does not indicate that there has been any change to the native charging mechanisms of these networks themselves.

Exchange account balances provide another way to pay for gas.

If a user does not have sufficient USDT in Binance Wallet, they can also use the support balance from their Binance Exchange account, which is also applicable to these four networks.

The available assets listed on the official support page for Binance include BNB, USDT, USDC, ETH, and SOL. These assets can be used with eligible spot, funds, or financial management (Earn) balances. When selecting a method to pay network fees, users can choose the Exchange Account option.

If there is neither USDT in the wallet nor a balance on an exchange that meets the requirements, Binance also lists several other methods. Users can transfer the required gas tokens from Binance Exchange, receive them from another wallet, or purchase supported assets using a bank card.

Another option allows eligible users to withdraw BNB from their spot or fund accounts at BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, and opBNB to pay for gas. Binance indicates that users need to hold more than 0.01 BNB in the relevant accounts before choosing this payment method.

The company continues to remind users to choose the correct blockchain when transferring assets between Binance and other wallets. Its withdrawal guide states that selecting an incompatible network may result in the inability to retrieve assets.

TRON Users receive a separate zero gas fee discount

This launch follows closely on another promotional campaign launched by Binance Wallet for transfers related to TRON.

Starting from September 23rd, eligible users who send USDT and other TRC-20 tokens through Binance Wallet will be able to enjoy zero gas fees. According to the Binance Wallet announcement, this promotion will last until December 22, 2026.

Binance indicates that this discount is supported by TRON DAO and is subject to a limit on the number of available spots. After the promotional period ends, the company states that eligible transfers will be charged at a discounted rate of 1 USDT per transaction.

To utilize this promotion, users must first initiate a transfer through Binance Wallet, select the token and recipient address, and then choose the party responsible for paying the network fees when signing the transaction. Before confirmation, users can opt to use USDT as the payment method.

TRON Promotions and USDT features cover related transaction costs under different terms. Support documents list USDT as payment options on BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON. Meanwhile, the TRON campaign temporarily reduces the transfer fees for eligible TRC-20 to zero.

Binance Wallet has been continuously reducing transaction friction.

Since renaming Binance Web3 Wallet in December 2024, Binance has made several adjustments to its self-hosted wallet.

According to previous reports by crypto.news, the renamed Binance Wallet introduced a unified wallet interface and made adjustments to the asset management and airdrop sections. At that time, Binance stated that the upgrade would be rolled out in phases.

In subsequent wallet promotions, network fees are still separate from transaction fees. According to crypto.news, in February 2025, Binance waived the exchange transaction fees for eligible wallets, but users still need to pay for blockchain gas fees.

Thereafter, the number of services provided by Binance Wallet through this self-hosted product continued to increase. According to relevant reports from crypto.news, in April 2026, the wallet introduced perpetual contract trading on both mobile applications and web platforms, and was accompanied by Alpha Points promotions linked to trading volume.

By May, Binance Wallet had integrated Event Rush on BNB Chain. Verified users could use USDT to trade tokens related to event results. crypto.news reported that this service operates through third-party decentralized applications and is restricted in certain areas.

Binance The current document defines Binance Wallet as a self-hosted product provided by Binance Barbados Limited. The company states that this wallet service is not regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority or any other regulatory agencies.
