Comporium selects Teleste as the exclusive supplier for future HFC upgrades and network management.

This decision covers the support for token issuance N3000 and token issuance N4000 amplifiers that utilize 1.8 GHz, as well as the Argus network management system and VDM, which will be used for the future modernization upgrade of Comporium.

Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Turku, Finland, September 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / – Comporium, a diversified communications service provider that serves over 145,000 customers in the Carolina region, Inc. announced that after a competitive RFP (tendering process), the company has selected Teleste as its exclusive supplier for future HFC amplifier and network management solutions.

The platforms selected this time include the token issuance N3000 line extender of Teleste and the token issuance N4000 system extender, both of which are equipped with plug-in responders. It also includes the Teleste Argus network management system and the virtual device manager (VDM).

Comporium indicates that this decision reflects the advantages of the entire platform. In terms of external network infrastructure, the token-issued N amplifiers stand out for their radio frequency performance, ease of use, and installation speed. In terms of network operation, the telemetry capabilities of the amplifiers Argus, VDM, and Teleste were selected due to their maturity, functional depth, and operational value.

Comporium, the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Planning, stated: "During the field trials, we evaluated these amplifiers within our own network and involved the technicians responsible for their installation and maintenance in the testing process. The token offerings N3000 and N4000 exceeded our expectations in terms of RF performance and also stood out in terms of ease of use and installation speed. This gives us confidence to adopt Teleste as the amplifier platform for future HFC upgrades."

The plug-in responders of the Token Issuance N amplifier can connect external network telemetry to the management environment of Teleste. VDM provides a virtualized device management layer, while Argus integrates centralized monitoring, alerts, diagnostics, remote control, and device inventory management into the operational workflow of Comporium.

Comporium, Vice President of Network Services and Internet Planning and Development, stated: "The telemetry capabilities of Argus, VDM, and Teleste stand out due to their maturity, functional depth, and operational value. The token-issued N-amplifiers and plug-in HMS responders provide a standard-based foundation that can be seamlessly integrated with our network management workflow. Together, these capabilities create a unified operational environment that provides our team with the visibility and control they need."

Teleste, Senior Vice President of North American Sales, Steve Condra stated: "The decision by Comporium is a strong recognition of this complete platform. This is not a choice of a single product. Comporium evaluated radio frequency performance, on-site ease of use, telemetry, and network management as a unified operational environment. Being selected as the exclusive supplier reflects the maturity of this platform, as well as its ability to support Comporium's established network strategy. We are proud to have won this trust."

Future upgrades and network expansions of HFC will adopt the Teleste token to issue N-series amplifiers that support 1.8 GHz, and will be combined with Argus and VDM. The deployment will proceed according to the priorities outlined in Comporium. The company is continuously advancing modernization efforts with high segmentation, and is preparing for the subsequent transition to 1.8 GHz.
