The two-day summit will bring together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI.

Piscataway, New Jersey, September 28, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- IEEE, the world's largest technology professional organization and a public charity dedicated to promoting technology for the benefit of humanity, today announced that the 2026 IEEE Technology Summit: Ethics AI will be held from October 1st to 2nd in Budapest, Hungary. The summit will bring together AI researchers, policymakers, ethicists, and industry leaders to discuss how to design, govern, and deploy artificial intelligence in a way that prioritizes transparency, fairness, accountability, and social benefits.

This summit, themed "Exploring the Ethical Dimensions in Technology AI", will feature a two-day agenda that includes keynote speeches, roundtable discussions, and group meetings, covering key topics such as algorithmic bias and fairness, AI policies and regulation, privacy and data responsibility, misinformation, and human-centered design. The summit will also host an IEEE Ethical Summit for Technologists AI Global Founder Showcase and Awards event, focusing on emerging innovators who are building responsible AI systems.

IEEE fellow, the conference chairperson Dalma Novak stated: "As artificial intelligence continues to reshape various industries and society, we have a shared responsibility to ensure that its development reflects values such as transparency, fairness, and accountability. IEEE Technology Summit: Ethics AI will bring together the diverse voices needed to transform ethical principles into concrete actions, and we are proud to host and drive this dialogue."

The summit is built upon the long-term leadership and pioneering research of IEEE in ethics, governance, and standardization in AI, including a wealth of technical literature in IEEE Xplore ®, as well as the foundational work of the IEEE Standards Association. Based on this solid foundation, the recently released IEEE " Technology Megatrends 2030" report draws on insights from 168 technical experts from 38 countries, further emphasizing the urgency of ethical AI. The report finds that the technologies most likely to be scaled at a societal level are those based on trust, explainability, and secure human-computer interactions, rather than those that simply advance at the fastest speed. This highlights the critical necessity of establishing people-centered safeguards within the global workforce.

Participants will gain practical insights on how to build credible AI systems, how to adapt to the evolving regulatory environment, and how to promote cross-border cooperation to ensure that AI benefits society as a whole.

Will the encryption of “Uptober” reappear? Analyzing the strongest months in history
Although “Uptober” is one of the most well-known seasonal patterns in the crypto market, October 2025 reminded the market that not all Oktobers are upward trending. Bitcoin reached a record high that month, only to see a decline of about 4% later on due to new Sino-US trade disputes that triggered risk aversion and large-scale liquidations. Looking at history, from 2013 to 2025, there were 10 October months with positive returns for Bitcoin, averaging around 19%; however, October 2026 began under different circumstances, with increased inflows of ETF, short covering, and improved liquidity, which drove Bitcoin and various altcoins stronger.

After Buffett's purchase price was broken through, has Google really become cheaper? | Silicon Valley Observation
This article argues that the key to determining whether Alphabet is a good deal lies not in Berkshire Hathaway's purchase price, but rather in whether the company's annual capital expenditures of nearly $200 billion can be transformed into sustainable cloud profits and a new generation of business distribution rights. The article discusses whether Google is transitioning from a search advertising company to an AI infrastructure and action distribution platform, by considering Berkshire Hathaway's investments, Alphabet's financing and capital expenditures, Google Cloud's revenue and profit performance, as well as a case study of an entrepreneur using Gemini to accomplish real-world tasks.
