New York, September 28th / PRNewswire / -- Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq ticker: NMRK) ("Newmark" or "the Company") announced the appointment of Mike Whitaker as the Chief Information Officer of the Newmark Group.
Whitaker will report to the Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick to advance the technology, data, and information strategy of Newmark. He will also serve as a member of the company's Executive Committee.
In this position, Whitaker will provide strategic oversight over the technical, data, and information-related initiatives of Newmark's various businesses, ensuring that the company's technical strategy aligns with its long-term growth objectives and operational priorities. Sridhar Potineni, the Chief Information Officer, along with the technical leadership team, will report to Whitaker.

Whitaker also serves as the Group Chief Information Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald, and has previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer. He joined the company in 2024 from Citigroup; during his 15-year tenure at Citigroup, he held several senior technical leadership roles, eventually becoming the head of operations and technology, and became a member of the bank's executive management team. Before joining Citigroup, Whitaker held senior technical leadership positions at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital, responsible for global fixed income, global equity and principal brokerage business, e-commerce, as well as algorithmic trading technology functions.
