Teachers and speech-language pathologists can use their own photos, categories, and phrases to create a vocabulary list for students, which can then be exported to the parent app. Parents can load the same content onto their family's phones or tablets. Users can choose between text-to-speech voices in natural speech or record familiar voices, such as those of their parents. Since the app reads aloud directly, anyone around can understand the user, including those who do not know sign language.
This app offers two modes of communication: Visual Mode provides large image cards for early-stage communicators; Phrase Mode allows users to combine sentences and input information in new scenarios. Independent profile files enable multiple students to share a single classroom device, and each project can also include more than one language. A built-in analytics dashboard displays which words are used most frequently and how vocabulary grows over time, helping teams track IEP goals. You Speak can be used without an internet connection, requires no account, saves all content locally on the device, does not collect data, and contains no ads or tracking features. Enterprises can also utilize Phrase Mode to serve customers who cannot speak or use other languages.
