News from the IT community on September 29th: According to source @itspdfu, yesterday (September 28th), a tweet was posted on the X platform revealing that by analyzing the code of the iOS 27.1 system, it was discovered that Apple's first foldable iPhone Duo will have 5 new interfaces added after entering standby (StandBy) mode, and the custom editor has also been enhanced.
Standby mode was introduced with the iOS 17 system in September 2023. When placed horizontally on the iPhone and charging, the screen can display information such as a clock, calendar, photos, or widgets, similar to an intelligent display screen. Due to the dual-screen structure of iPhone and Duo, this mode will support more complex layouts and multi-tasking views.
According to the code details that have been exposed so far, iPhone and Duo support 5 interfaces:
- Home Camera (Supports displaying up to nine camera feeds on the same screen)
- Home Module (Smart Home Module)
- Flow (where Flow dial code contains the ResponsiveArt field, suggesting it may be a dynamic animation dial)
- Fade (No specific description found yet)
- Snoopy (Snoopy)
iPhone and Duo will be equipped with a new version of the dial editor, whose operation logic is similar to the editing interfaces of iPhone and Apple Watch. Users can swipe left and right to adjust the style of the analog clock, the style of the numbers, as well as the light/dark mode, and they can also customize the background of the dial and the color of the hands. Some dials also support embedding two additional widgets.

In terms of dial layout, the code displays five arrangement methods: StandBy, Stacked, Top, Middle, Bottom. It is speculated that, except for StandBy, the remaining layouts are likely designed specifically for iPhone and Duo for the horizontal display scenario when unfolded like a book, to accommodate the information layout requirements in a dual-screen format.
