Unlike most smart glasses on the market that highlight voice AI assistants as their main selling point, this product is designed to meet the needs of content creators for convenient, high-quality, hands-free photography.
According to the aforementioned informed sources: "The Yeelight product may adopt a design with interchangeable front frames, with functions mainly concentrated on the temple parts. Users can switch frames according to different scenarios or dressing styles, making smart glasses more in line with the consumption logic of traditional glasses." This means that Yeelight aims to move smart glasses from being considered 'technology hardware' towards a more everyday, wearable consumer electronics product.
According to informed sources, when it comes to the capabilities of AI, Yeelight is likely to choose to integrate with Alibaba's Qianwen large model. However, Yeelight is not content with merely invoking cloud-based large models. As an insider from Yeelight revealed, "In the future, the core focus of the company's AI will be on how to directly deploy end-side generation models into Yeelight's products. Additionally, Yeelight is also researching new products that go beyond existing product forms." Behind this is their more ambitious goal of bringing generation models to the end side.
IT noticed that Innovech previously obtained a utility model patent authorization for a product called "wearable glasses." The patent abstract indicates that the main body of the glasses is worn on the head, while the battery device is separate from the main body and is worn on another part of the body, powered by an electrical connection cable. The purpose is to "reduce the burden on the user's head and lower the pressure of wearing them for extended periods." This "separate battery" design approach is distinctly different from the current mainstream AI glasses, which incorporate the battery into the temple arms, and is more in line with the engineering considerations for long-duration shooting.
