Air UX 3.0 is now available as part of software version 2.11.0. Customers who install software version 2.11.0 will automatically receive the new Air UX 3.0 experience.
Air UX 3.0 will be rolled out to all eligible Lucid Air vehicles starting from September 29, 2026, via over-the-air updates. For Lucid Air vehicles from 2022, 2023, and some models from 2024, Air UX 3.0 can be obtained through a hardware upgrade. The price of the infotainment processor upgrade in the United States is $950, which includes installation costs but does not include applicable taxes and fees. Pricing for other markets will be announced shortly. Vehicle owners can contact Lucid customer service to inquire about eligibility and availability information.
Lucid, Vice President of Software, stated: "The Air UX 3.0 update reflects our commitment to continuously improving the customer experience. As the Air update brings the latest advancements to the vehicles, Lucid Air owners will enjoy a more reliable and intuitive experience."
Faster, more intuitive control
Air UX The 3.0 version introduces a redesigned home page experience on the left-side cockpit panel, featuring sliding cards that place commonly used functions in prominent positions. Car owners can more easily control media, access vehicle settings, make calls, navigate to saved home or work locations, or find nearby charging stations. When certain functions are active, the home screen will display temporary cards; swiping to one side will open the full application on Pilot Panel.
This update also introduces a new Quick Controls, which allows drivers to slide down from the top of Pilot Panel to quickly access commonly used settings and controls. Drivers can also switch between navigation, media, vehicle control, and applications more smoothly between the screens of Cockpit and Pilot Panel.
The update also provides for faster profile switching, gives the main profile more control over associated keys, and offers a more convenient way to reset guest profiles. The process of exiting guest profiles is protected by PIN, and a six-digit PIN verification code is provided to enhance security.
Smarter navigation and electric vehicle route planning
Air UX 3.0 introduces an updated dual-screen navigation experience, including a favorites feature and an automatic dark mode. Drivers can also customize their electric vehicle route planning based on their preferred charging networks, compatibility of charging adapters, and the minimum remaining range upon arrival.
Expand Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Air UX 3.0 has improved the performance and reliability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and extended the user experience to the entire area to the right of the cockpit display screen, providing more space for mobile phone usage. This allows drivers to make calls, listen to popular music apps, obtain routes, send messages, and more within a larger area. The system also supports both wireless and USB connections.
