IT News on October 5th: According to reports from foreign media Insider Gaming, the developer of "Dawn Kill," Behaviour Interactive, recently released a job advertisement for a Senior Technical Animator (Senior Technical Animator). The position is part of the company's studio located in Montreal, Canada.

According to the job description, this animator will be involved in a 3A game developed using the Unreal Engine within Behaviour Interactive. The animator is responsible for establishing the technical foundation of the animation system from the early stages of the project, ultimately achieving complete animated performance of the game characters within the actual game.
The recruitment information clearly states that this is a “AAA Science Fiction FPS” game, and it also requires the project to meet high “realism standards.” It is not yet clear whether this “high realism” refers specifically to visual performance, physical effects, or other game mechanisms, so it is currently impossible to determine what visual style the game will ultimately adopt.
In addition to this, the recruitment requirements also reveal some information that may be related to game character design. Behaviour Interactive hopes that candidates will be able to create and maintain the skeletal binding systems for both bipedal and non-bipedal characters, with a particular mention of the binding for "mechanical structures." This suggests that characters or enemies such as robots and mechanical creatures might appear in the game, although the exact details are still to be confirmed by the official team.
In terms of development tools, this position requires candidates to be familiar with the Control Rig of the Unreal Engine, as well as its application in procedural animation systems within related real-time systems. This may imply that the development team will utilize tools such as Control Rig to create more dynamic character animations, but it is not yet possible to determine the specific gameplay of the game based on this information.

IT noticed that Behaviour Interactive launched Meet Your Maker in 2023, which also contained some science fiction elements. However, the project described in this recruitment announcement is clearly much larger in scale. Currently, among the existing and upcoming works already announced by Behaviour Interactive, there is none that fully corresponds to this description. Therefore, it is temporarily difficult for outsiders to speculate on the specific nature of the new work based on the studio's past works.
In addition, Behaviour Interactive often collaborates with publishers such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, Warner, as well as Netflix and Take-Two on project development. Therefore, it is also possible that this science fiction FPS is part of a collaborative development project. The specific publisher and the ownership of IP are currently unknown.
As for when Behaviour Interactive will announce this science fiction FPS, there is currently no official information. Outside speculation suggests that it might be announced as early as during the TGA award ceremony in 2026, but it's also possible that it could be postponed to a game launch event in 2027. However, these are just current guesses, and ultimately, we will have to wait for Behaviour Interactive to officially disclose the project details.
