Forum Information
Monday, October 5th | 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Location: The National Club
In this fireside conversation, workplace resilience psychologist Dr. Sara Rabinovitch will moderate a discussion titled “Inside the War Room: Human Performance Under Cyber Crisis”. Her guests include co-directors of ‘Midnight War Room’ Bill Keeler and Cyber Future Foundation, senior advisor and veteran CISO Bindi Dav, founder Val Mukherjee, as well as Accenture Cyber Intelligence, Director General and Global Head, T. Ryan Whelan.
The forum will combine segments from the documentary to candidly discuss the human aspect of cybersecurity and performance under high-pressure environments. The meeting will also emphasize why the experiences of cyber leaders can be explained using neuroscience and stress recovery models, as well as how leaders can improve team performance from top to bottom.
Rabinovitch "I am very much looking forward to welcoming leaders in the cybersecurity industry on Monday's Cyber Resilience & Leadership Summit to discuss the production process of 'Midnight Battle Room' together. This is a film that everyone should watch, not just professionals in the cybersecurity field. It is crucial to emphasize the human side of cybersecurity – including the entire spectrum of experiences: victories, the mental resilience shown at critical moments, and the sacrifices made by leaders to protect our critical infrastructure... At the same time, we must also acknowledge the emotional, physical, and relational costs that come with one cyber incident after another, with almost no public attention and no chance to catch our breath."
Tuesday, October 7th | 12:05 to 12:50 PM
Location: SecTor 2026, Meeting Room 701B
In this discussion, host Wes Sheppard ( The Tactical CISO ) will moderate a conversation centered around "Midnight War Room." The guests include Evoke Security the CEO, documentary actor Jason Rebholz, Cyber Future Foundation the founder Val Mukherjee, and co-director of the film Bill Keeler. The meeting will delve into the insights gained by producers and actors during filming: how state-backed attackers operate, how defenders respond under pressure, and what current threat scenarios this documentary reveals that have not yet been documented in briefings.
Rebholz states: "There is a lot of content on the SecTor forum that is worth in-depth discussion. I am looking forward to discussing the insights I have gained from communicating with film creators and others, as well as my observations on the evolving threat landscape. The Colonial Pipeline attacks in 2021 were a turning point for my understanding of the ransomware economy. They demonstrated that ransomware attacks can have real-world consequences beyond just data disruption, as well as social impacts that continue to unfold over several days."
