Applied Intuition announces a partnership with Honda Motor Company (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.) to accelerate the software development of its next-generation software-defined vehicles (SDV).

This collaboration will combine the software speed of Silicon Valley with Japan's engineering advantages to advance Honda's SDV vehicle platform.

Applied Intuition, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, and Tokyo, stated that the company will utilize its Vehicle OS software to significantly accelerate the development of a centralized, upgradable, and highly personalized SDV platform within Honda. The collaboration brings together top engineering talent from Honda, as well as elite software teams from Japan and Silicon Valley, to advance a SDV platform for entire vehicles, in support of Honda's next-generation vehicle architecture.

Honda Motor Company's Chief Strategic Operations Officer Mahito Shikama stated: "Honda is moving towards a software-defined future, where vehicles can continuously evolve and provide customers with a highly personalized experience. The Vehicle OS software for Applied Intuition is designed to support Honda's internal teams in accelerating development and to reduce costs during the company's transformation towards SDV. Applied Intuition will also contribute its expertise in operating systems and software development, covering all power systems including hybrid models, while supporting Honda's long-standing commitments to quality, safety, and reliability.
