On October 6th, according to IT, Polit announced the issuance of its tokens. On September 30th, Europe posted a blog stating that, in the context of advocating digital sovereignty and reducing dependence on American technology, the European Commission is promoting the use of Element Pro to replace Microsoft's Teams. However, initial feedback has been negative, with some European officials openly describing Element Pro as "absolute garbage."
The report indicates that the European Commission plans to introduce Element Pro in the summer of 2026. According to a blog post cited by IT, internal memos revealed that Element Pro is positioned as a "sovereign backup option" for Microsoft Teams. In the event that Teams cannot be used normally, a smooth transition can be made to ensure the continuity of the Commission's communications and daily operations.
Reports indicate that three European officials have questioned the necessity of the new system, as well as its ability to provide reliable backups. One of the officials has questioned the added value of the platform, arguing that it cannot effectively solve practical problems in real-world scenarios.

Another official criticized Element Pro, describing the platform experience as extremely poor and calling it "absolute garbage." A third official, considering the overall user experience, compared the two software products and believed that Teams had advantages in terms of platform maturity, ease of use, and overall performance.
