MTCM launches Talea DRN: A dual-track private securities product for arranging connections between individuals and investors, with Bank Frick serving as the digital asset business partner and payment agent.
Talea DRN enables arrangers to issue a single security that is appealing to both traditional and digital investors, ensuring full interchangeability within a single audit framework, with Bank Frick, a pioneer in European blockchain banking, serving as the partner for digital asset services.
Luxembourg and Balzers, Liechtenstein, October 6, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Today, we are launching Talea DRN. This is a type of Luxembourgian securitization note that can be issued in two different forms under the same audited segregated asset pool: traditional ISIN securities and digital tokens. Investors hold the same securities, the same collateral, and equal rights, but in the form that best suits them.
Operation Method
These two forms correspond to the same instrument; they are not composite replicas, nor are they independent tools of some other kind. MTCM does not involve the tokenization of existing securities, but rather presents the securities themselves in the form of tokens, which are fully interchangeable with ISIN securities. Investors can switch between the different forms without having to change the face value of the instrument or its attached rights, and they can subscribe using fiat currency, cryptocurrencies, or stablecoins.
To the arranger
There is no longer a need to choose between traditional issuance and tokenized issuance: The DRN structure of Talea can be accessible to banks and institutions through Clearstream / Euroclear, as well as to global “digital native” investors through tokens.
Origin of the Name
“talea” in Latin means “cutting”. For hundreds of years, debts were recorded on split wooden tally sticks; one half was held by the creditors and the other half by the debtors. Talea DRN continues this concept: one document, two forms, yet essentially the same security.
"Investors should not be forced to make a choice between the systems they trust and the technologies they wish to use," stated Pedro Herranz, Managing Partner and CEO of the MTCM Group. "What Talea DRN offers them is two forms of the same service: traditional settlement and custody methods, or the speed and reach that digitalization brings. For organizers, this means a much broader base of investors."
"We place great importance on our collaboration with MTCM. By combining their expertise in securitization with our experience in capital markets and digital assets, we are providing support to issuers active in both traditional and digital infrastructure sectors," stated Roman Wildhaber, the head of Capital Market Solutions at Bank Frick.
The company stated that each segregated asset pool is isolated from one another and enjoys bankruptcy protection. In accordance with Luxembourgian securitization laws, these pools undergo independent audits. This enables the arrangers to access a wider range of distribution channels, allowing investors around the world to participate as well.
