ConductorAI announced that the company has won an award through the U.S. Department of War's "Accelerating Innovation in Technology Acquisition and Deployment" (APFIT) program, which will be used to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (Defense Intelligence Agency).
This is also the first time that DIA has won the APFIT award, and it is also one of the earliest pure software solutions for that project.
Scarborough, Maine, USA, October 6th / PRNewswire / -- ConductorAI Today, it was announced that the company has been selected to receive an award through the U.S. Department of War's "Accelerated Innovation Technology Procurement and Deployment" ( APFIT ) program to support the Defense Intelligence Agency.
This funds will be used to support the deployment and expansion of the Conduit ™ platform for ConductorAI. Conduit is a proxy-based AI system that can encode complex policies, professional expertise, and institutional knowledge into intelligent decision-making workflows, enabling analysts and operators to complete what would otherwise take months of document approval in just minutes. Its proxy-based search and orchestration capabilities help institutions process millions of pages of structured and unstructured data—including Office documents, images, videos, etc.—and encode complex approval logic into repeatable, auditable AI-driven decision trees. The result is measurable acceleration in high-risk processes: partner information sharing, electronic forensics and investigations, ITAR and export control compliance, security grading, as well as foreign military sales, among others.
ConductorAI, co-founder and CEO, Zachary Long, stated: "We are extremely grateful to the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Office of the Under Secretary for Research and Engineering of the Department of War for their dedication to putting transformative AI capabilities into the hands of analysts and operators who need them most. This recognition reflects what we hear from our task partners every day: the bottleneck in national security is not in obtaining information, but in the speed at which organizations can take action. Conduit is solving this problem."
The company stated that by reducing the time required for key review and approval processes, this capability is aimed at helping DIA to deliver relevant intelligence and decisions more quickly to operators, planners, and task partners. The Defense Intelligence Agency has made accelerating the application of artificial intelligence within the Department of Defense community a core priority and established a Digital Modernization Accelerator to focus AI professional capabilities and speed up the delivery of institutional capabilities. This initiative is in line with the requirements of Executive Order 14179 to maintain the United States' global AI leadership and also advances the priorities of the 2026 National Defense Strategy to share responsibilities with American allies and partners, which depends on the ability to deliver properly reviewed intelligence to partners at the speed required by relevance.
The office of the Deputy Minister in charge of research and engineering at the Department of War has designated the application of artificial intelligence ( AAI ) as a key technological area, and has required that in accordance with the White House's AI action plan, the Department of War be transformed into a “ AI priority” organization, in order to fundamentally reshape the decision-making and operational efficiency of the entire military.
