Xpeng Motors serves as the secretary for the new working group OICA to promote global collaboration in autonomous driving.
Xpeng Motors stated that the company will serve as the secretary of the newly established working group "Scene-related Information Exchange Working Group" ( TF-ESRI ) under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe ( UNECE ), assisting in coordinating and managing this working group, and helping to promote information and experience exchange among participants.
This working group is affiliated with UNECE GRVA / WP.29. Xpeng Motors stated that TF-ESRI is co-chaired by France and China, bringing together regulatory agencies, approval bodies, technical experts, and industry representatives from around the world to share real-world experiences and insights related to autonomous driving.
Xpeng Motors stated that the company will jointly support this working group with the secretariat of SAE. SAE International is a global association representing engineering and technical professionals.
This appointment has received full support from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers ( CAAM ). Xpeng Motors stated that CAAM is its representative institution in OICA.
