Solidion Technology Reaffirms Commitment to Meeting the Growing Energy Storage Needs of the AI Data Center

The patented negative electrode technology of Solidion and the design of PEAK-UPS are aimed at meeting the requirements of AI infrastructure in terms of floor area, service life, and cost.

Dallas, October 15, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Advanced battery technology solutions provider Solidion Technology, Inc. ( NASDAQ : STI, hereinafter referred to as “Solidion Technology” or “the Company”) announced on Thursday that the company reiterates its commitment to meeting the energy storage needs of artificial intelligence applications and data center infrastructure, and will focus on its PEAK series of uninterruptible power supply ( UPS ) systems as key products.

The company stated that as the workload of AI increases the power density of the data center, the systems responsible for maintaining continuous operation of the facilities during power grid interruptions are facing increasing pressure. UPS Batteries take up floor space that could otherwise be used for AI servers and additional computing equipment, and these batteries also need to be replaced regularly.

Solidion indicates that its solution is based on the PEAK series – a UPS battery system designed for AI data centers, utilizing the company's own 5500 silicon-carbon negative electrode cells. This system is specifically engineered for the environment of AI data centers, with the aim of meeting these constantly changing requirements.

The company stated that its strategy focuses on three key areas:

  • Energy density and space utilization efficiency:According to company tests, the design of PEAK can reduce the floor space required for the UPS system by up to 30%, thereby freeing up more available server space.
  • Reliability and Service Life:The designed lifespan of the 5500 battery cell can reach up to three times that of traditional backup systems, thereby reducing the frequency of replacements and maintenance. Solidion indicates that the company is continuing to advance related technology development to adapt to the high-intensity operating environments of data centers.
  • Innovation at the material level:The product portfolio of Solidion covers over 385 patents related to silicon anodes, graphene, and next-generation battery chemistry. The company states that, combined with its pilot production facility located in Dayton, Ohio, this provides a foundation for the development of energy storage for local data centers in the United States.

"Infrastructure is an attractive market for advanced energy storage," said Jaymes Winters, Chairman and CEO of Solidion. "Our focus is on transforming technology into practical business solutions to meet the real needs of our customers. We're not betting on which chip will ultimately prevail; we're dedicated to providing what every data center needs."

Solidion indicates that the company plans to continue looking for opportunities to apply its battery technology directly to end-user scenarios.

Hyperliquid Founder Jeff Yan Calls on Regulatory Authorities to Focus on Deployers Rather than Underlying Blockchains
Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan stated that U.S. regulatory authorities should supervise financial companies operating on blockchain, rather than the underlying networks themselves. He argued that regulation should be placed on the parties with control over the deployment, so that Wall Street firms can conduct regulated trading activities on Hyperliquid, without the need for the blockchain itself to be registered as an exchange.
