News from the IT family on October 16: On October 15 local time, the U.S. stock market witnessed a reversal in trends.
Tech stocks faced heavy selling pressure at the opening, with the Nasdaq index falling by more than 1.4% at one point. However, they managed to recover all their losses during the day's counterattack, and in the end, all three major indices closed higher.

As learned from the IT community, as of the close on October 15th local time:

- The S&P 500 index rose 0.33% to 7,744.06 points;
- The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.08% to 26,713.03 points;
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.08% to 52,177.69 points.
According to Cailian News, as tech stocks launched a counterattack, the NASDAQ exchange announced a network failure during trading, resulting in intermittent interruptions in the transmission of some market data. Although the failure did not affect trading itself, after this small incident, the index's rebound came to an end temporarily, and it only managed to turn positive just moments before the close, trading sideways until then.
