For the second consecutive year, FM will offer a 10% premium discount on eligible FM policies.

Johnston, Rhode Island, October 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Property Insurance Company FM announced today that it will provide an estimated $855 million to eligible FM customers through its Resilience Credit Program.

This deduction is a unique benefit brought about by the FM mutual aid ownership structure. Due to outstanding performance and compensation losses being at historically low levels, FM has offered a 10% premium deduction to eligible customers for the second consecutive year.

FM Chairman and CEO Malcolm Roberts stated: "For two consecutive years, we have been able to provide an enhanced 10% resilience offset, which demonstrates the efforts our customers make every day to achieve lasting protection. When customers invest in loss prevention and see strong results, our mutual support model enables us to support further improvements, thus forming a powerful resilience cycle."

FM first introduced resilience deductions in 2022, with an initial focus on addressing climate-related risks. In 2025, considering the clients' efforts in resilience and the historically low levels of losses, FM expanded this program to cover operational risks and doubled the deduction rate from 5% to 10%.

FM indicates that since then, customers have utilized this deduction to further enhance risk improvement outcomes. For this reason, FM will once again offer a 10% premium deduction through its resilience deduction program.

Resilience deductions, combined with the unique professional engineering capabilities and data analysis skills of FM, can help eligible customers implement risk improvement recommendations. The expanded plan supports customers in taking action regarding recommendations related to climate disasters and operational risk exposures.

This deduction will be in the form of a 10% reduction on the premium, and is applicable to eligible FM policies whose renewal date or anniversary falls between January 1, 2027, and December 31, 2027.

FM also indicates that in April of this year, the company announced a record $1.5 billion in member discounts. The company stated that these initiatives collectively helped customers strengthen their operations and enhance their resilience, and also highlighted the view of FM that most losses are preventable.
